Once again we take a look at the stats for Hitman: Absolution . This time the numbers for just the first week of sales. Data is for all platforms, but you'll note that it's almost all Macs with only about 2% Windows machines. That's because Hitman is 90% Mac.
In an interesting turn of events, Hitman: Absolution has proven to be more popular on the Mac platform than Microsoft Windows. The game is currently only available on the Mac in the U.S., but it's popularity can't be ignored. But it's popularity isn't because of a rushed or incomplete port, but rather the fact that many PC gamers simply aren't interested in buying an OS X machine.
Hitman: Absolution is the first game in the series that includes the Homefront Pawn option. This allows you to pawn off items to get home. However, this requires you to perform a task first, which will earn the pawn goods at a higher rate. The Hitman: Absolution feature will be used in other games for additional tasks.
Despite missing the boat on some multiplayer modes, there are still many out there trying to figure out whether or not Hitman: Absolution is the best game to play in the series. The answer is simple. Yes it is.
